The Northern Neck of Virginia Chapter of the Audubon Society is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from all counties in the Northern Neck! Donations have already reached 15% of our anticipated costs for the re-graveling and trailhead improvements. We are also reviewing the rest area facilities which are in poor shape. The kiosk at HHNT has not been stocked with trail maps for some time: that will be corrected in the near future. We will also have membership and bird I.D. pamphlets available at the site.

Currently our Property Committee is planning a spring trail maintenance day (most likely a Saturday prior to the rise in temperature and humidity that we all know is coming). The day will be used to address any obstructions on the trails and improve trail marking where needed. We will be communicating the day of the event to our members and the public via our newsletter and the local papers with the hope of signing up as many helpers as possible.
